What’s different about my Conditionals Course?
I make all my courses and materials to specifically focus on the IELTS test.
Very often I see examples of conditionals that are completely useless for IELTS (or even for real life!)
- If you could be any animal what would you be (?!)
- If you were a type of food, what would type of food would you be (?!)
This is NOT the kind of language that you can use in the test.
My courses give you examples that you can learn and use effectively in both Speaking and Writing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the challenge right for me?
You are probably already very familiar with the grammar of Conditionals in English. You probably know the rules, but at the same time you find yourself making mistakes.
This course starts with the basics and makes sure you get them right before you advance into complex conditionals (Third and Mixed).
It also looks at some tricky areas e.g. expressions where we need to use Conditionals, and the problems caused by your First Language Interference.
From my experience of teaching Conditionals at ALL levels, there will be something for everybody to learn.
Please see the reviews on Google My Business and Facebook to see how much my students love learning in my online Academy.
How much time do I need to set aside each day?
My aim is to keep each video 5 minutes long, so you are learning in short bursts.
The practice each day could take from 10 – 30 minutes, depending on how easy or difficult you find them and how much extra you want to do (there are always optional extras).
There will be extra live sessions throughout the course.
Will I be able to understand everything?
YES. I am used to working with students from all over the world, and the language that I use is clear and simple.
If you have watched my videos on YouTube, or listened to my podcasts, you will know what I sound like! I also use Powerpoints in every video so that you can see and read exactly what I am talking about.
The worksheets are designed to mirror what we do in the videos, so there is nothing new or confusing when you do the practice exercises.
All of the worksheets also have answers included and you can print them off and keep them as a reference.
Do I need to have internet access?
The course is fully online so can access it on your computer, phone or tablet.
You can download and print off all of the worksheets, mindmaps, feedback PDFs, model answers and ebooks to keep forever.
You will need internet access to watch the videos which are hosted on VIMEO.
Can I download the videos?
For copyright reasons, the videos are not downloadable.
You will have access to the videos for 6 months. The course is included in the price of the Members Academy.
Do I need to be on Facebook?
There is a private Facebook group for the challenge – you will need to post your questions and examples here.
However, you can still follow the course without Facebook, and I will do live sessions on both Facebook and YouTube.
What if I'm not very technical?
I have made everything as easy as possible. You can access all the videos and materials on a computer, tablet or phone, just by putting in your email address and password.
Why is your Academy different?
When you download materials from the internet or buy an online course you don’t usually get a teacher too. I am very active in the Academy. You will not be left alone to struggle with the materials. I am always here to help.
I’ve put my 30 years of experience teaching, examining and working with IELTS students into the Academy that I truly believe will help you improve your score if you make full use of all the materials and the feedback sessions.
I’ve also chosen the best materials and done everything I can to make the lessons clear, logical and engaging.
These materials are also closely tied to the IELTS test.
What if I don't have a credit card?
I recommend that you sign up to PayPal, which is a safe way of paying online.
Will you mark and check my work?
Most of the challenge materials are all self-access, so you can check the answers yourself and work at your own pace. I also set two writing tasks each week and I will check your personalised examples in the weekly Live Lesson.
Will you mark my writing?
This is not a Writing course but I will ask you to post examples twice a week for me to check.
Do you offer a money back guarantee?
Unfortunately I cannot provide refunds for short courses.
What happens after 6 months?
After 6 months you will no logner have access to the course materials.
However, if you wish to join the full Academy with access to all of the courses, there will be a discount available.
Can I pause my access during the 6 months?
My website does not allow me to put access to the courses on hold.
Also, it is not something I would recommend. As soon as you put the course on hold, you put your learning on hold, and you will start to go backwards, losing any progress you have made.
IELTS requires constant practice and constant feedback to see progress.
The course is designed to be easily manageable (minimum 10 minutes a day) if you make it a priority.
