This all sounds great BUT…
Do I get the whole course at the start?
NO. I designed the course so that you learn step by step. You get access to ONE lesson each day.
You don’t need to do everything in each lesson.
I strongly recommend that you do the vocabulary worksheet each day.
If you have time you can choose one other task e.g. Reading/Writing/Listening/Speaking. Or all of them!
How is this course different from the 3-Month Study Programme?
The 28-Day Vocabulary Course and Challenge (3 months’ access for $49) is included in the Members Academy. It has daily practice of all 4 skills for each IELTS topic. You get access to one new lesson each day.
The 3-Month Study Programme (4 months’ access for $129) has full courses for each skill, a bank of extra resources, weekly live lessons, writing feedback and a private Facebook group. You get full access to all the courses as soon as you join.
How long will I have access to the materials?
You can download all the materials and keep them forever. You will have access to the materials for 2 months.
Will I be able to understand everything?
The aim of the course is to improve your vocabulary, so there will be words that you don’t understand and you will need to check them yourself.
The YouTube videos have subtitles so you can pause and listen again.
All of the Reading and Listening worksheets also have detailed answers included and you can print them off and keep them as a reference.
Do I need to have internet access?
YES. The course is fully online. But unlike most online courses, you get a worksheet for every video and Reading/Listening test that you can print off – with colour-coded answers and full explanations, which give you real test-like practice and help you see progress quickly.
Can I download the videos?
The introductory videos are all publicly available YouTube videos which you can access any time.
You will not be able to downloadmy tuition videos. You will have access to them as long as you are on the course.
How long will I have access to the course?
You will be able to access the lesson, videos and Facebook group for as long as the course lasts (28 Days) plus an extra one month to go back, review and catch up. You will also have access to any extra materials I create.
You can download and keep the PDF materials that are made available to you during your course.
*The extra Library of e-books is only available to full Academy Members, so there may be some links that will not work for you.
What if I'm not very technical?
I have made everything as easy as possible.
You can access all the videos and materials on a computer, tablet or phone, just by putting in your email address and password.
Do you offer a Money Back Guarantee?
YES! You will not receive the whole course at the start. You will receive one lesson each day for 28 days. If you are not 100% happy with the first lesson (Day 1), or you think it may not be the right level for you, you can get a refund though I would much prefer to get your feedback and try to make it right!
What if I don't have a credit card?
I recommend that you sign up to PayPal, which is a safe way of paying online.
For Members Academy payments ($75 or more), I now accept Western Union and Transferwise bank transfers.
I'm doing General Training. Is the course right for me?
General Training Reading Parts 1 and 2 and Task 1 Writing are different from Academic, but the Listening, Speaking and Writing Task 2 and Reading Part 3 are exactly the same, so the same topics apply.
The course will improve your general vocabulary, which will be useful for all aspects of the General Training Test. The course includes General Training Reading examples of both Reading and Writing.
Will you mark and check my writing?
This is a self-study course, so all the materials have answers and you can check everything by yourself.
However, you can ask me questions in the FB group if there is any grammar/vocabulary area you are unsure about.
What happens after the course is finished?
After 3 months, you will no longer have access to the materials. If you wish to join the Members Academy at this stage, you will be able to join at a reduced fee of $75 for 4 months (full price $129).
How much work will I have to do?
This is up to you.
The best way to make the most of the course is to engage with the materials – print them off, write on them, take notes, make lists and review them daily.
You will need to set aside a minimum one hour a day for this if you really want to see progress.
BUT DON’T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT…
